Jarret and Rebecca had a great time mingling with the students and other community partners at St. Michaels University School on Monday.
The event was called “Youth in service, volunteer” which students and organizations shared different ways youth can engage in the community.
There was everything from gardeners, fair trade clothing and other not for profits.
Umbrella’s table was buzzing the entire time with youth eager to learn more about what Umbrella does and how they can help others.
Many students already knew who we were and were excited to see us again.
The youth showed great interest in wanting to help others with substance use concerns and even look forward to one day working or volunteering with Umbrella.
Thank you for having us SMU! It was inspiring to see how many youth want to help people in our community.
