Umbrella has been renting Cooper House for several years and recently the owner approached us to see if we would like to purchase the townhouse.
We jumped at the chance!
We recognize how important all housing is for those in recovery, so we moved a few residents around
and we have turned Cooper House into a seniors recovery housing model, and it is working great!
Umbrella knows that seniors have their own goals and a typical second stage recovery house, like Foundation House, wasn’t working for our seniors.
So we created a new model at Cooper House with different, more personalized goals and the guys there couldn’t be happier.
Their garden is beautiful, they create meals and eat together and they play cards and attend meetings.
This is a model we love and are grateful to support our senior residents as they continue to flourish at Cooper House.
